As you opened this article about Fiverr tips, I suppose you want to earn an extra amount as freelancer on Fiverr or may be you are already struggling to get your first order on Fiverr but is quite disappointed. I was in your place exactly six months back. I would've got my first freelancing project within 7 days if I knew these tips back then.
Freelancing is actually the easiest way to earn money online IF YOU KNOW THE TRICKS !!
So here goes my tips , follow these ALL . Missing even one can loose your chance :
Tip No 1 Decide A Niche You want to Work in
This is one of the most important things that decides whether you will succeed as a freelancer or not. Before opening a gig, sit back and think which work you are best at. That is, try to analyse if there is any work for which you got praised from some unknown person. If if find one, then just go for it!
If not, then you need to do a bit a research before jumping into any random gig. Just go to the official page of fiverr and go to your dashboard. From there click on "switch to buying" at the upper right corner.
There you will see all the possible categories at the top bar. Just hover the cursor on any category and you will see the sub categories.
Here starts your actual work. What you have to do is just go through the sub categories and try to figure out which one suits you most. After you find one such category, just click on that. You will see the other seller's gigs. Try to analyse that keenly.
Once you feel confident, just go for it!!
Tip No 2 Try to Make your gig appealing
Your gig is your brand face. Whenever a buyer sees you gig, the first thing that comes to show up is the pictures you add to your gallery and the title. Make them as appealing as you can.
- Try to add a video clip showing slide shows of your previous work( keep some samples ready).Adding a video actually works!
- Add some really good pictures as your cover.
- Your title should be able to explain exactly what you offer.
At the first page of creating a gig, you will find a box asking for tags.
Add good tags into the box. Think as if you are searching for the service on google. What will you write?
Add five such tags and you are half way there.
Tip No 4 Use Buyer's Request section wisely
I got my first order from this section only, when I started to do things properly. Buyer's Request is very effective for those who have very less reviews on their profile or may be no reviews at all.
On the top bar, you will find "more" section. Click on that and the first option will be showing "Buyer's Request".
After you click on "Buyer's Request" , you will see many buyer's asking for the services of your gig category.
Now begins the actual secret process to get the job.
Think that you are the buyer. Whom will you choose? a beginner who is pleading to get the job or one who has skills and confidence.
In your request:
- DO NOT PLEAD . Instead sound confident and write about your skills that you will utilize to do the job.
- Try to make the buyer believe in your abilities.
- talk about your experience( never say you are beginner or learning), try to sound like a professional.
- Try to gather a bit knowledge about the job and use professional terminologies. THIS REALLY WORKS !!
Use Social Media as your marketing tool. Post your gigs to twitter and instagram . If you have completed some projects with 5 stars, DO SHARE THE SCREENSHOT on your status. There are some facebook pages where you can promote your gigs. It gains you larger audience exploser. Some of them may get converted to buyer.
Send offers to all 10 buyer's request daily. You may not get reply form all of them but don't be disappointed.Patience and consistent work is the key to success in such platforms. It will work within 1 week if you follow all the tips above heartily. All the big sellers started with the same condition at you are today. They didn't give up and today they are earning thousands of dollars per month. If they can do, why not you?
GOOD LUCK !!
